Originally from Brussels, Belgium, Geraldine Surkyn brings a European sensibility to California living—combining refined aesthetics, thoughtful functionality, and a deep understanding of how spaces shape everyday life.
For Geraldine, great design begins with people. How they live, how they move through their homes, what they love, and what makes them feel truly at ease. Every project is an opportunity to create something deeply personal, where beauty and practicality come together naturally.
With a Master's degree in Economics and Marketing, a degree in Interior Design, and eight years of experience as a General Contractor, Geraldine brings an uncommon combination of creativity, technical expertise, and business understanding to her work.
Her construction background allows her to see beyond the design itself—to anticipate challenges, collaborate confidently with architects and trades, and find thoughtful solutions that respect both the vision and the realities of construction.

More than a motto, it's how Geraldine approaches every project. With energy, determination, honesty, and a genuine enjoyment of the process, she believes that creating a beautiful home should be as rewarding as living in it.
Today, through GSID, she guides homeowners across the San Francisco Bay Area, bringing together European elegance, California ease, and the confidence of having someone experienced on their side.
